Dr. Sandra Mbibi (DDS)

Dr. Sandra Mbibi attended The University of Minnesota where she completed her Degree in Human Physiology. She then attended the prestigious Columbia University School of Dental Medicine where she earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. After a three-week trip to Cambodia where she had the privilege of treating kids in rural parts of the country, including orphanages, Dr. Mbibi truly realized her passion for Pediatric Dentistry. Shortly after dental school she completed a two-year fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry including special needs care at Brookdale Hospital in New York.
Dr. Mbibi is very passionate about catering to children and providing healthy smiles throughout their childhood. There is nothing more rewarding, engaging, and interesting than working with kids as every child comes with their own unique personality. She considers it a privilege and a responsibility to provide the best dental care to each patient and their families.
Dr. Mbibi continues to keep up with the latest innovations in pediatric dentistry. She is committed to continuing her education with additional formal training in order to offer the best possible treatment options for your child. These include treatments such as Laser dentistry, sedation dentistry, interceptive orthodontics, and the latest technology in low radiation x-rays.
In her spare time, Dr. Mbibi enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring various restaurants in Houston, traveling, and reading.
Dr. Chun Yin Wong (DMD)
Dentist
Dr. Chun Yin Wong earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine (UNLV) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with magna cum laude honors from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
At UNLV School of Dental medicine, Dr. Wong was inducted into the honorary Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and graduated magna cum laude as Salutatorian. During his dental school training, he discovered his passion for working with children and patients with special needs through extensive and numerous externships at the Children’s Hospital. He went on to complete his pediatric dental residency program at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During his time there he had extensive specialized training in advanced behavior management techniques such as oral conscious sedation and hospital dentistry.
Dr. Wong is highly experienced at performing frenectomies to patients of all ages, including babies. He takes great pride in seeing the improvement in latching, feeding, enunciating words, and general improvement on quality of life afterward. In retrospect, Dr. Wong didn’t receive his lingual frenectomy until he was an adult and wishes he had the knowledge he has now to get it done when he was younger.
A recent transplant to the Houston area, Dr. Wong previously lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for many years having moved there with his family from Hong Kong when he was 10 years old. During his free time, he loves to spend time with his family, travel different parts of the world, and explore nature.
Dr. Caroline Girgius (DDS)
Orthodontist
Dr Girgius earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Ain Shams Faculty of Dentistry in Cairo, Egypt, and her Master of Science Oral Biology with a specialty in Orthodontics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Her professional associations include American Association of Orthodontics, The Edward H. Angle Society, Royal College of Dental Surgeons in England, and Faculty of General Dentist Practice in England.
She loves working with kids and often volunteers much of her free time doing so. Her volunteer/service experience includes, but not limited to the Oral Healthcare Screening at Saint Mary Coptic Orthodox Church in Cairo and Cleft Care Clinic in Ain Shams University just to name a few.
Dr. Girgius really enjoys traveling and has practiced dentistry all over the world in places such as New Zealand, Australia, Egypt, and the United States of America. She spends her spare time painting, working out and swimming. She even coached synchronized swimming for two years.
Dr. Mallika Thapar
Dentist
Dr. Mallika grew up in Texas and attended The University of Texas at Austin where she majored in Biochemistry. After college she moved to New York City to pursue her doctorate in dental medicine at New York University. As a student Dr. Mallika realized that she enjoyed practicing dentistry most when working with children and went on to pursue a career in Pediatric Dentistry. She completed her General Practice Residency at Flushing Hospital and her Pediatric Dental Residency at Northwell Health, Staten Island University Hospital. During residency, she received specialized training working with children requiring complex medical and dental needs, sedation and hospital dentistry.
Dr. Mallika’s goal is always to make children feel comfortable by giving them a positive experience to remember. She hopes to instill good oral hygiene habits within her patients and to give them a beautiful smile. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, yoga and traveling to new places.

Kristina is a mother to an awesome energetic boy Greyson who she absolutely loves spending time with every chance she gets. She is an extremely dedicated and hardworking dental assistant who everyone loves being around. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting and playing sports with Greyson.
Kimberly

Kimberly is a registered dental assistant who likes to stay busy while at work making sure all our patients get to be seen quickly and efficiently. She is a mother of 2 wonderful kids who she enjoys spending time with watching movies and playing games.

Registered Dental Assistant
Carina is a very hard-working and driven individual who isn’t afraid to face a challenge. She’s truly passionate about her work and always gets the job done. She’s an open and honest person who constantly has a smile on her face and is the book definition of what being a team player is all about. Her spare time is usually spent cooking and preparing meals, which is something she is passionate about.

Front Office Coordinator
Mother of 2 beautiful children who loves to spend time with them taking them to the movies, events, and more. Desiree enjoys greeting patients and their families giving them activities to do while they wait as well as educate the parents about the procedure of treatments and insurance processes. Her goal every day is to put a smile on everyone’s face.

Andrea is a loving sports mom of three very energetic children. She enjoys spending weekends watching her son play baseball and football and her daughter cheerlead. She is a great team mom and a very hard-working and dedicated employee. Family and her job is of the upmost importance to her and what we value most here at Tots n Teens Pediatric Dentistry!
